Colorful collage of birds with layers of painted cut outs and canvas fabric. These collages are bright and colorful, but also have a depth and a sense of abstraction which comes from the process of my work, where one image is often layered on top of another. Inspired by the fauna and fern of Florida, I used pattern, magazine clippings and my illustration style to cut out the shape of the birds. The style lends itself to a contemporary feel and is a favorite because of the suitability to most surroundings.
